MoBiTec GmbH - Innovative Tools for Molecular and Cell Biology

MoBiTec offers a total service, beginning with the clear and full documentation of products, extending to individual advice and technical service for customers. MoBiTec products are distributed worldwide, in Germany from our home office, in other countries by our distributors.

Products include two- & one-hybrid systems for in vivo detection of molecular interactions, genomic libraries, DNA vectors for cloning and expression, kits for expression and purification of recombinant proteins, cell transfection reagents and cell culture tools, immobilized and soluble enzymes, many products for genomics and proteomics research, numerous antibodies and recombinant proteins, superior fluorescence reagents and kits, affinity chromatography products, gel analysis tools as well as general laboratory equipment.

In parallel to its own product lines, MoBiTec distributes products from several international companies in Germany including fluorescent probes and research chemicals (Molecular Probes, AnaSpec, Teflabs), quantum dots (Evident Technologies), a variety of DNA purification kits and DNA polymerases (Edge Biosystems, TaKaRa), diagnostic tools (Biomerica, Cytocell), gel elecrophoresis accessories (Amresco, Clare Chemical), glycobiology products (Dextra Laboratories), high-quality biochip products (GenTel), cell transfection reagents (Mirus) as well as antibodies, proteins, substrates, fine chemicals and kits for molecular and cell biology, virology, immunology, neurobiology, apoptosis, signal transduction, cell proliferation, cytotoxicity and cancer research (MBL, A.G. Scientific, TaKaRa, Amresco, ViroGen, AnaSpec, Echelon).

From Cadmium to Indium -a New Generation of Heavy Metal-free Quantum Dots

EviFluorsTM are activated quantum dots coupled to proteins, e. g. secondary antibodies, that can be used to advance a wide range of life science research and product applications. Possessing unique optical advantages of both multi-modal nanoparticles and fluorescent dye molecules, EviFluorsTM are primarily characterized by bright fluorescence with larger excitation coefficients at lower wavelengths and greater photostability than traditional dyes. Easily excited using a single excitation source hundreds of nanometers away from the emission wavelength, EviFluorsTM emit a sharp and symmetrical spectrum with excellent signal-to-noise ratio enabling a new quality of immunofluorescence experiments, in vivo imaging and multiplexing assays, flow cytometry, FRET or Western Blot studies. Next to the classical CdSe/ZnS, 2nd generation cadmium-free InGaP/ZnS EviTagsTM and EviFluorsTM are available at MoBiTec. Based on Evident's proprietary surface design, EviTagsTM are functionalized with various reactive groups (e.g. amino- or carboxyl groups). Ready-to-use EviFluorsTM conjugated to a wide variety of secondary antibodies and proteins such as biotin, streptavidin or proteinA/G are available for various wavelengths.

MoBiTec and Nano2Life

"MoBiTec is very honored and excited to join N2L, the leading Pan-European network of excellence in the nanobiotechnology field, as a recent industrial member. Based on our experience to commercialize innovative ideas in the high technology field, we are looking forward to exchange ideas about the needs and advancements in the field, and to enter into mutually fruitful R&D collaborations", comments Dr. Simon Sauter, Business Development Manager at MoBiTec.
